About Monica

I’m not here to fix you.
I’m here to walk with you.

As a former nurse, founder of the natural cleaning brand Molly’s Suds, empty nester, and woman in midlife, I’m living this season right alongside you. I’ve experienced the confusing symptoms that get dismissed by medical professionals, the exhaustion, and the emotional swings that don’t make any sense — especially to the people that love us. I’ve experienced the moments of wondering, “What is happening to my body? And why does no one talk about this?”

I created This Is My Midlife to offer the kind of help I wish I had — calm, clear, compassionate support rooted in both lived experience and practical know-how. It’s support that makes you feel seen, heard, and validated.

You are not broken.
And you don’t have to do midlife alone.

From Tragedy to Advocacy

In 2005, I gave birth to our daughter Molly. She never took a breath. I was already a pediatric nurse and the mother of three healthy children, but that loss shook me to my core. As I searched for answers, I uncovered the overwhelming presence of untested, unsafe chemicals in our everyday environments, and learned how they can impact pregnancy and development.

That discovery led to the creation of Molly’s Suds, a line of safe, effective household cleaning products inspired by Molly’s legacy. What began in grief became a mission to educate and empower families to make safer, healthier choices. I founded Molly’s Suds nearly 20 years ago, building a trusted brand that people continue to love and rely on.

As I step into this new chapter, I draw on everything I’ve learned — my background in healthcare, my experience building a mission-driven brand, and my own lived experience navigating midlife.

I believe that midlife isn’t a crisis — it’s an opportunity to get to know and feel like yourself again. My role as your coach is to help you slow down, feel heard, listen inward, and take aligned steps toward what’s next.”

Why I’m Here Now

When I reached my forties, I realized so many women — myself included — were quietly navigating major shifts. Hormones, priorities, identity, relationships. But no one was really talking about it in a way that felt clear or hopeful.

Then perimenopause hit me like a freight train. I was tired, anxious, foggy, and felt like a stranger to myself — and no one had real answers. I was met with shrugs, prescriptions, and the familiar line, “This is just what happens in perimenopause…” or, “Your labs look great. There’s nothing we can do.”

I was not satisfied with that. I began doing my own research on perimenopause support. I discovered tools, resources, and my new calling. I wanted to help other women navigating this confusing and transitional season of midlife find clarity, confidence, and renewed purpose.

So I went back to school. I'm a Health and Wellness Coach graduate of the Mind Body Green School and I’m currently completing my board certification through the National Board for Health & Wellness Coaching (NBHWC), and I have begun weaving together

everything I’ve learned as a nurse, a founder, a mom, and a woman figuring this all out herself.

Today, I work one-on-one with women navigating midlife, helping them rediscover confidence and purpose through personalized health and wellness coaching — so they can feel strong, steady, and grounded in who they are in this season of life.
